October Recipe Links

October Meals (Click Here for this month's printable inventory list)

Ranch Pork Chops - This recipe has been floating around Facebook for a while now.  I haven't been able to find the original poster.  The link will send you to a printable recipe you can use.

Italian Beef - This recipe is an original and can easily be changed to be made for a large crowd.  It is really easy and takes no effort.

Italian Chicken - This recipes takes 2 items and again is no effort.  Jeannie (my cooking partner) gave me this recipe and it tastes delicious! The link will send you to a printable recipe you can use. This month we are tripling this recipe to send one batch to Jeannie's daughter in law.

Pork Burritos - These burritos are AMAZING!!!!! This recipe is another Jeannie recipe.  They are so easy to make and make a lot of food.  This is great for company.  The link will send you to a printable recipe you can use. We are also tripling this recipe.

BBQ Chicken - This is a really simple easy dish that can be used with any type of chicken boneless or bone in.  The link will send you to a printable recipes you can use. We are tripling this recipe.

Pot Roast - Who doesn't love a nice pot roast?  Everyone has a different recipe they love but this is my families favorite recipe.  You can freeze the carrots along with the beef but I don't recommend freezing the potatoes because they will turn black.  We tripled this recipe as well.

Garlic Dijon Mustard Chicken - I haven't tried this recipe yet but it looks great!  The original recipe (which can be found here) suggests cooking it in the oven which is a possibility however I love crock pot meals so I am planning on cooking on low for 4 hours checking after 3. The link will give you a printable recipe you can use.

Honey Glaze Chicken - I haven't tried this recipe yet but it looks great!  The original recipe (which can be found here) suggests cooking it in the oven which is a possibility however I love crock pot meals so I am planning on cooking on low for 4 hours checking after 3. The link will give you a printable recipe you can use.

Lemon Garlic Chicken - I haven't tried this recipe yet but it looks great!  The original recipe (which can be found here) suggests cooking it in the oven which is a possibility however I love crock pot meals so I am planning on cooking on low for 4 hours checking after 3. The link will give you a printable recipe you can use.

Cheap Korean Beef - This is one of our few non crock pot meals.  This meal since it is ground beef we actually are planning on cooking prior to freezing.  However after it is frozen and you go to make it for dinner, you can place it in the crock pot to heat up on low.  The recipe that we are using can be found here.  Our link will give you a printable recipe you can use. We are tripling this recipe.

Beef Stroganoff - Everyone has a different recipe they like for this meal.  I prefer to use cream of mushroom soup and Greek yogurt, however this month we are trying a different way that is suppose to be easier since it makes the gravy for you.  The recipe we are using this month can be found here.  A printable version can be found through our link.

Italian Sausage with Peppers and Onions - This is a pretty simple recipe you can find here. You can adjust how much peppers and onions you use based on your families preference. A printable version can be found through our link.

Chicken Fajitas - This is a pretty simple recipe you can find here. You can adjust how much peppers and onions you use based on your families preference. A printable version can be found through our link.

Colorado Beef Burritos - This recipe is a little more complex and does require a little extra planning.  While this is a crock pot meal, it does require baking for about 20 minutes right before serving.  This is to melt the cheese on top of the burritos but if you would rather serve individually you can serve it when the crock pot is done.  You can find the recipe here.

Chicken and Noodles (Creamy not Soup) - My mother in law makes something we call "Nana's Noodles".  This recipe is a quick version that uses boneless chicken instead of roasted chicken. You can easily make this a meal in one by simply added some frozen veggies. This recipe does have noodles in it but I still like to serve over mashed potatoes.  A printable recipe can be found in our link.

Pulled BBQ Pork - This is my far one of my family's favorite meals!  It is so simple and requires 2 items. We have served this over buns, tortillas, and even rice.  A printable recipe can be found by clicking on the link.

Teriyaki Chicken - Most of the recipes I have tried in the crock pot haven't turned out right which makes me a little nervous about trying this recipe, however what I have noticed about this recipe compared to others is this recipe keeps the breasts whole.  It doesn't cut them into bite size pieces prior to cooking, and it allows for the chicken to be shredded. You can find the original recipe here. A printable recipe can be found by clicking on our link.

Chicken Tacos / Mexican Chicken - This is a double recipe that can be used for 2 meals.  It is so easy and still delicious.  A printable recipe is available for download.

Other than these main dishes we are also planning on making approximately 50 Peanut Butter and either Jelly or Honey sandwiches to freeze for quick lunches along with mashed potatoes, brown rice and refried beans.  With the refried beans, we also end up making really quick bean burritos for quick meals that are meatless.  Last month we ended up making 70 bean and cheese burritos.

A quick note about our inventory list : This is an inventory for 1 family of 3 adults and 1 toddler.
